Iron Horse Park. Schedule of events.

2009
Wednesday
July 1
Canada Day Celebrations at the park start off with the parade beginning at 0900 hrs. The parade goes through the main part of town and is approximately two to two and half hours long. We are part of the Centennial Float in the parade and will be handing out fliers indicating that we are open to the public from 1100 hrs to 1600 hrs.
Tuesday
July 7
The Winnipeg Clubs (Assinboine Valley and the Red River Valley) will be visiting us on their way home after the triennial meet on the West coast. The Winnipeg visit has been confirmed.
Saturday
July 11
We might have one or two other clubs make the trek to IHP as well. We have no confirmation at this point, but we'll be ready to accommodate them.
Wednesday
July 22
The Airdrie Air Show from 1300 hrs to 2200 hrs. The actual show itself begins at 1800 hrs and runs for approximately two and half hours. The Armed Forces Snowbirds are scheduled to appear. Check out the City of Airdrie website and look for the Air Show connection for all the details. IHP will have a static display booth at the show.
Thursday
September 10
Fireworks display from IHP at 21:00. Park will be closed to the public but our facility will be used to launch the fireworks to celebrate the City of Airdrie's centennial.
Saturday
September 12
Homecoming/Wooden Nickel day. Park is open to the public to help celebrate the City of Airdrie's centennial. We will be able to "cash in" those wooden nickels distributed by the city and exchange them for interpretive journey's.
